The AHEPA Hellenic Heritage License Plate is a Rhode Island–approved specialty license plate that celebrates the rich history, culture, and values of the Hellenic community while supporting local charitable and educational initiatives.

The American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) is a Rhode Island–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting education, philanthropy, civic responsibility, and cultural heritage. Founded in 1922, AHEPA has long played a vital role in strengthening communities and preserving the ideals that have shaped Greek heritage for generations.

This specialty license plate features meaningful Hellenic symbols, including the Greek flag and classical architectural elements, representing democracy, learning, and community service. Proceeds from each plate directly support AHEPA’s mission and the work of local Rhode Island chapters, helping fund programs that benefit education, community outreach, and cultural preservation.

By choosing the Hellenic Heritage License Plate, Rhode Island drivers can proudly display their connection to Greek heritage while making a positive impact in their local community.

Initial cost for ordering the plate is $43.50. ($20.00 goes to the charity, $20.00 goes to the general fund, and $3.50 to the DMV Technology Surcharge account. These amounts could change. New charity plate laws include a registration renewal surcharge (typically $10.00) so that the charity has a continued stream of revenue
